Looking fine at 9!

Look at me, I'm 9 months old!!! I go to the doctor today for my check-up...but good news...no shots today! Yipee! Mommy thinks I'm over 20 pounds and very long. We'll see what the doc says later. I'm such a busy girl. In fact, I don't like to sit still for the camera anymore. I love to play!! I can clap hands and when you ask me how big I am, I'll show you! Some of my top teeth are just about to pop through. I'm just such a big girl now. I also like to eat real food. I love pancakes, banana bread, fruit, crackers, and pretzels. I can now pick up gold fish and bring them to my mouth, but most of the time they end up on the floor. I love looking at the birdies and squirrels. I am a happy girl and love just about everything!!!

Come on Irene

Stay safe all of my New York family! For once it's not Oklahoma that's in the weather news. We're thinking of you.

Easy like Sunday morning...

Have I told you how much I love the weekends? You really appreciate them when you have to work during the week. And, of course, they go by WAY too fast. Here are a few snaps of Vivi this past Sunday. She was enjoying her banana bread and her peach. Then off to exercise and doing a little bouncing. She's got the life.

Somebody Likes Pancakes!

We're starting to give Vivi some more real food. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. For example, that banana you see there. She'll only eat it if you're holding it for her because every time she grabs it, it slips right out! She loved the pancake, however she didn't know she can hold it with her hands! She'd rather just lean down and take a bite when she needs one. Too cute!

In All Things

Source: youtube.com via Dana on Pinterest

Monte Cassino has a new motto this year that I absolutely love. SO IN ALL THINGS, GOD MAY BE GLORIFIED! When the Oklahoma Thunder was in the NBA finals not too long ago there was some player (can't remember names) that basically said this before answering any question from a reporter. I loved it and I love that our school is now taking this on. We're getting t-shirts and everything, gotta love it! So, this video is definitely glorifying God. It's one of my favorites, Carrie Underwood, and one of Frank's favorite guitar players, Vince Gill. Just click on the picture...gives me goosebumps every single time.

I did it...

I did the thing I thought I could not do this morning...drop Vivi off at her babysitter's house. I went back to work yesterday, but Grandma came over so it wasn't that bad. Today, however, I had to take Vivi to the babysitter. I was up last night from about 3:30-5:30 just worrying. I emailed the babysitter last night a super long neurotic email describing all of Vivi's favorite games, foods, how to put her to sleep, you name it. I have to say that as a teacher, neurotic moms really get on my nerves, but now I am one! Oh my. I cried the whole way there despite the open windows and blasted air on my face. I finally pulled myself together, got her out of the car, walked inside and cried again. What is wrong with me?!?! Thank goodness I'm so busy at work because the day flew by. I only texted twice and called once...not too bad, right? She was napping all three times. All of my worrying and Vivi had a great day. She was having a snack when I picked her up and chatting up a storm. They even gave her goldfish today and she loved them! Who knew? Now I can breath a sigh of relief and know she's going to be just fine. I survived the first drop off day. All of the others should get easier. Let's hope.

Best Friends Forever

Here is my oldest and dearest friend Krista and her baby Brynlee. Brynlee was born almost exactly 2 months after Vivi. They are 8 and 6 months in this picture. Krista and I are 389 and 388 months respectively. ;) I can't believe it took us this long to finally get together. Wish you still lived down the road from me, Krista.
