Farmer's Market

I just LOVE the farmer's market and I'm so happy that it's the season again.  Vivi and I went this morning and had a great time.  She loved all of the babies and doggies...like they were all there just for her!  We sat on the curb and listened to the Irish band for a little bit.  On cue, two cute little girls about 4 years old grabbed hands and started dancing right in front of Vivi.  There are a few things Vivi just loves in this world; babies, little boys/girls, dogs, music, and dancing.  I think we need to go every Saturday.

I wasn't in the mood for planting today, due to my HORRIBLE seasonal allergies, so I passed on the herbs.  Although, my herb garden needs some serious love.  I think I'll wait another week or two.  My lavender is about to bloom, so that will tide me over for awhile.  I bought this beautiful bunch of flowers for only $5 bucks, a croissant for V and me to share, and an iced chai tea.  It was a pretty good morning if I do say so myself.  Happy weekend!

Sunday Helper

One Smart Cookie

Little Vivi amazes us on a daily basis.  She is so smart...she really is!  I think it's more than just us thinking she's smart because she's our baby. :)  She is saying so many words now.  Added onto her normal vocabulary is now pineapple, how come, love you, mac and cheese, and so many more than I can think of at the moment.  I need to make a list as she says them sometime.  We noticed Vivi singing this song quite a bit recently and it's clearly the ABC song, the words are just a little off.  And....she now can count to three! Go Vivi!

Easter 2012

As expected, Easter was a hit with Vivi!  She had a blast and we did too!  Happy Easter!

It's Easter Weekend!

I had today off of school due to Good Friday....gotta love working at a Catholic school!  This is also the first Lenten season in as far as I can remember that I actually did not eat meat on Fridays.  I tried really hard. :)  I'm not even a huge meat eater.  I can go all week without meat, then for some reason on Friday, I'd accidentally eat a piece of turkey from the fridge or something else ridiculous like that.  Now, my other Lenten promise, I failed miserably on.  I was going to "give up" complaining.  Well, it turns out that everything that comes out of my mouth is a complaint.  Boy, that was a wake up call for me!

Easter this year is going to be much more fun for Vivi than last year.  We didn't even get her an Easter basket last year because she was so little.  However, I did score her basket at an after Easter sale.  Bargain Betty strikes again.  She is going to LOVE it this year.  Her favorite thing right now is to put things in something and take them out.  So Easter egg hunting is right up her alley.  She can put the eggs in her basket and take them out till her little heart is content.  I also got her some cute little things I know she'll love; an Easter egg book, some pastel blocks, sidewalk chalk, a little bunny that walks when you wind him up, bubbles, etc...
